ATV Outfitters Hawaii is family owned and operated. Everyone who works here – from our trail guides to our mechanics to our registration hosts – is part of our extended ohana (family). Most of us are 4th and 5th generation Kohala residents.
Like all of the Big Island population, we reflect the most ethnically diverse people on the planet –we are combinations of part Hawaiian, Chinese, Japanese, Portuguese, European, Pacific Islander and many other bloodlines. And we all get along.
Our philosophy of business is based on that and on hospitality – we want to make sure you feel part of our ohana while you are our guests. We also want to give you the opportunity to experience the places we love. We want you to return. That’s Aloha… and that’s Hawaiian style.
Longtime Kohala residents, Bill and Sandie Wong, have deep roots in the community, and their connection to the land and the people give their business local flavor and Hawaiian style heart.
Creating a unique guided tour on All Terrain Vehicles was Bill’s dream. He was a local boy who had the idea of sharing his own experiences and his connection to the land and history of Kohala.
More than just fun, this experience would be interesting, cultural and unique.
Bill Wong and is a 4th generation Native Hawaiian, born and raised in North Kohala. In true Hawaiian tradition, Bill is a wonderful storyteller who relishes the lore and legend as well as the history and geography of Hawaii.
